Keeping Your Automatic Doors Safe & Compliant

To ensure continued safe operation and compliance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation and British Standards, your automatic door must be operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and will require routine recorded service visits specific to the type of powered door.

Automatic doors require at least one documented service visit annually by an authorised technician to meet BS EN 16005:2023 – Power Operated Pedestrian Doorsets. Safety in Use. Requirements and Test Methods. 

Industry guidance also recommends that simple weekly automatic door safety checks are carried out to identify any obvious faults, damage or safety concerns before they develop into more serious issues.

Many customers choose to arrange a Service & Maintenance Agreement before their warranty expires for continued protection, regular compliance inspections and priority service.
In addition, if you take out a service contract within the first 12 months following installation, your warranty will be extended by a further 12 months.
