Creating inviting and modern entrances for organisations and commercial properties, automatic sliding doors are aesthetically pleasing and perfect for high-traffic environments. They are also an ideal solution in premises where frontage depth and space are primary considerations. Providing a fully accessible entrance to premises that meets the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 (incorporating the Disability Discrimination Act), they give an immediate impression of an established, professional and trustworthy establishment.
Popular in retail, healthcare, education and public buildings; sliding doors make the entrance much easier to navigate for those with walking aids, wheelchairs, shopping trolleys, and delivery pallets, etc. Hands-free operation reduces the risk of spreading germs, which is particularly important in hospitals.
All our systems are bespoke designed and manufactured in a wide range of styles and colours to match your branding, business needs and budget.
As an independent company, we are free to choose the highest quality products from the world’s leading manufacturers. All our commercial automatic sliding doors are designed and installed to comply with BS EN 16005 (the European Standard code of practice for safety in the use of automatic doors for pedestrian use).
Trained and accredited under the Automatic Door Suppliers Association (ADSA) scheme to ensure your doors conform to UK and European standards, our servicing experience equips us with the industry knowledge required to select products that are safe and hardwearing to maximise your investment. Every project is fulfilled on its own terms, with products and accessories that are right for your specific requirements.
With one panel opening and closing automatically, this design is ideal for narrower spaces, such as small shops or hotels.
With two panels that open simultaneously, these are ideal for wide entrances that experience high traffic, such as big offices and transit centres.
For existing installations that require upgrades, why not try our retrofit kits? Designed to fit within most manufacturer’s operators; rather than replacing the operator, we can simply change the damaged door or screen mechanism within the existing operator – this comes complete with our standard 12-month warranty, which can be extended to 2 years if serviced within 12 months.
By upgrading your current automatic sliding door system, disruption to the site aesthetics can be kept to a minimum as the existing back plate, cover, carriages, etc., will remain. As part of the package, safety and activation sensors are also upgraded – a cheaper alternative to a complete replacement.

Regular system checks and maintenance must be documented and undertaken by a qualified engineer to ensure safe operation and to meet Workplace Health & Safety Machinery regulations. Powered automatic doors require at least one recorded service annually to ensure ongoing compliance.
Automatic Access offers pre-planned service and maintenance, as well as an emergency call-out service for repairs.
Typically, they are activated by sensors that detect personnel and objects within an adjustable range (automatic opening).
Alternatively, if you prefer intentionally activated automatic opening, requiring action by the user, there are various operations including push pads, access control systems, or touch-free switches.
For more information, take a look at our activation and safety devices.
They use minimal power to function and can help reduce energy and heat loss by ensuring your door is only opened when required and always returned to its fully closed position.
To comply with BS EN 16005, they must have an emergency battery backup incorporated into the system. This means they can continue working even in the event of mains power failure.
They can also be connected to the fire alarm to open once activated. It is possible to programme them to stay shut, either for smoke control or if the door is in an open position, which contributes to oxygen fuelling the fire. The sliding door can remain open or closed—whichever is required for safety reasons.
There are various fire and smoke control options for our automatic sliding doors. To help maximise fire safety in your premises, please contact us for further information.
