In 1998, Sunborn pioneered the original floating hotel concept and have since created a number of bespoke yacht hotels.
Automatic Access were contacted by Sunborn Yachts to replace the sliding automatic doors on board their luxury superyacht at Royal Victoria Docks.
A site survey revealed the existing operators needed upgrading to modern safe systems. Sunborn invested in new, modern, silent operating equipment for the doors.
As the original door operators had been welded to the steel bulk heads, they presented quite a challenge for our installers, but after carefully removing the old back plates and operators, taking great care not to damage the surrounding fabric of the yacht, and while extending the utmost respect to the yacht’s paying guests, we have completed 15 out of a total of 21 doors.
We continue to work through the programme, modernising the ship’s doors for the future.
