Thanks to a long-standing relationship with our technical sales consultant Tim Moore, Metcalf Decorators contracted Automatic Access to replace the existing entrance to Ash House. Our team removed and disposed of the existing curtain walling and automatic swing door operator. This type of solution was not suitable for the environment due to the building position and wind forces. The door operator was struggling to close against these conditions. This in turn was creating security issues.
In place of the old entrance, Automatic Access installed a commercial shopfront and automatic sliding door, which was given a specialised finish in a bronze anodised polyester powder coating – the perfect choice for a high traffic area.
This entrance system offers an impressive finish with low maintenance requirements.
As part of the project, we were also required to interface the door automation with the existing access control and fire alarm systems.
Following completion of the project, the client and end users have been very happy with the solution that provides ease of access and security to the building.
