Automatic Access Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary
At a time when Automatic Access Limited celebrates 15 years in business, Managing Directors Julie Townsend and Trevor Allsop wonder where the time has gone!
From having no customers and no sales in August 2004, the firm has increased turnover year on year, setting up an operated aluminium commercial frame sister company with its own manufacturing capability for doors, curtain walling and aluminium windows. Now with a £1million turnover, the Leicestershire based company continues to go from strength to strength.
Automatic Access Limited works with large authorities such as Bae Systems, NATO, Network Rail in Kings Cross & St Pancras Stations, Virgin Rail Stations, local authorities, hotel groups, garden centres, car dealerships & showrooms, universities, colleges, schools, hospitals and doctors’ surgeries, to name but a few.
Opportunities have evolved from our aluminium manufacturing department, and new products such as manual bi-folding doors, rooflights and roof lanterns will form part of our future portfolio.
Although automatic doors remain the core activity, curtain walling projects now play an integral part in our turnover figures. Easy Hotels in London, through contractors Sanderson’s, have given us an order to supply and install £80K worth of curtain walling doors and windows for the refurbishment of 80 Old Street London.
We have completed projects for anything from the smallest disability discrimination compliance projects, to automatic doors in war torn Afghanistan – we shipped all the equipment to Afghan during the war with Taliban. During many attacks and raids to the base, our valiant engineers continued to install the automatics to improving emergency access, fulfilling the task within 2 weeks!
PURPOSE – to improve access to buildings for all.
CORE VALUES – honesty and integrity. We strive to maintain our reputation for a high-quality finish, using durable materials to deliver a trouble-free operation. We will continue to deliver on our promises, while encouraging individual initiatives.
VISION – the Automatic Access name will be synonymous with quality an excellence. As a trusted company, people will want to work for us, and customers will be happy to pay for our products/services.
ENVISION – we will provide competitively priced automated entrances to ease access to buildings for the elderly, the disabled and for all those who have difficulty opening manual doors.
Developing a fully integrated manufacturing, finishing and installation company (all processed internally), we will continue to supply automatic and manual doors, leaving a lasting legacy of secure employment for our employees.
